About Augmented Athletics

What if the USA's most innovative, creative and imaginative scientists, technologists, engineers, designers, etc. use humanity's cutting edge technologies to create competitions between and among generations of America's super duper athletes?

What if USA's greatest, most innovative,
creative and imaginative athletes
collaborate with America's best scientists, technologists, engineers, designers, etc.
and tap humanity's most cutting edge technologies to supercharge sports?

Augmented Athletics Association of America

Vision: Augment, enhance, maximize human performance.

Mission: Supercharge sports.

Augmented Athletics Association of America was founded in October 2019.

Our goal is to push the boundaries of human performance by using the full range of human intellect and knowledge. We seek unprecedented levels of individual and organizational innovation, imagination, creativity, discovery, and invention, along with security and safety.

Our aim is to make Iron Man-suit, Batman-suit, the Bionic Woman and Six Million Dollar Man, to name a few examples, a reality in sports.*

Principles

Augmented Athletics is guided by an encompassing principle – augmented athletics must be the result of augmenting and enhancing an individual or group’s performance but not by merely flicking a switch to turn on a machine or motor. Though levers, gears, and designs may drive heightened performance, Augmented Athletics holds true to the tenet that human performance is exponentially up to the athlete’s intellectual, physical, and mental capacities. In other words, whatever super suit you wear, your mind and body must be able to move the super suit.

We hope to categorize Augmented Athletes based on a few examples:

If you’re a healthy and capable runner who can run a marathon, and you have shoes or a suit that can help you run a 26-mile marathon in under one hour or less, then you compete with athletes with similar capabilities.

If you’re partially paralyzed or have an amputated limb but you still have movement, and you have shoes or a suit that can help you run a 26-mile marathon in under one hour, then you compete with athletes with similar capabilities.

If you’re completely paralyzed but you want to compete in the high jump, and you have equipment or a suit that can help you jump (not fly with jet packs and/or wings) 50 feet up in the air, then you compete with athletes with similar capabilities.
